At Crugsillick Manor, in the Roseland Peninsula there are three self catering cottages a short walk from Carne and Pendower Beaches. These beautiful beaches join at low tide to give a mile long stretch of golden sand.

The cottages are very attractive in a peaceful rural setting and are exceptionally well equipped. They were created from a 400-year-old mill and barns in the grounds of Crugsillick Manor, one of the historic houses of Cornwall.  In the mild climate of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula many sub-tropical species flourish. This is an ideal base to visit some of Cornwall's famous gardens or to walk the Coastal Path, arguably here at its most unspoilt. Sailing, fishing, golf, riding, tennis and river trips available locally. We also have a cottage on the Lizard

Local Attractions

Not far away is the romantic creekside church of St. Just in Roseland where legend has it that Joseph of Arimathea landed at the start of his pilgrimage to Glastonbury.

The cathedral city of Truro is nearby, as are many of Cornwall's historic houses and famous gardens. There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants within easy reach, many specialising in local seafood.

St. Mawes

Built on a steep hillside over-looking the harbour at the mouth of Percuel River, St Mawes is nowadays best known as a paradise for sailing and for all forms of watersport. It remains a sleepy fishing village which comes to life in the summer sun, with the bustling activity of the many visiting yachtsman and dinghy sailors enjoying the sheltered waters of Carrick Roads. Below the road which cuts into the cliffside are quiet, sandy beaches with safe swimming. The small harbour, partly enclosed by a wall, is very busy in the season. The clover-leaf castle, built in 1542 to protect Falmouth Harbour from pirates and enemies, is completely intact and is open daily. Motor, sailing and rowing-boats for hire.
